This month so far.

Well its been another crazy month, Me and Liz (aka Lily Greenwood) have a new person in our unit Rachel Saunders who creates lovely pieces of jewellery that are perfect alongside both mine and liz's work, you wont be able to resist. So Rachel will be working one of my days so i'll have more time to work on our album which is great!

If you haven't seen Rachel's work before you can sneak-a-peek here:

Also we had a great gig in Halifax parish church on Friday supporting John Grant which was a perfect opportunity for us to play some of the new tracks for the album live-scary in front of over 600 peoples though...and the best bit for me was getting to bang a drum- i had to resist not hitting it like a toddler with a new toy (pretty difficult) John was brilliant too..he had a grand piano and he played it beautifully, seemingly effortless.

We had a few tracks filmed too so i'll pop the link up for those as-soon-as.

Also i got a lovely invite to watch a fashion show for Harvey Nichols last night which was great fun. Jessica Lowe was one of the main organiser's and the efforts were obvious, great clothes, models and Manchester's town hall as the backdrop made for the perfect atmosphere.

John grant gig & We Are Willow

This is 'Bound by String' the title track from We Are Willow e.p for part 1. A collaboration between me and Christopher butler:

You can find out more about the project here:

We've got a gig with John Grant on the 9th September and we've got a few new tracks to show-its also being filmed so theres no'll be a fun one because we've been so focussed on the album we havent even had chance to consider live gigs but the John Grant gig was too much of a goody to bypass.
If you'd like tickets you can get them here:

Me and Sinead have been busy writing and recording new material for the past few months now and our new Agency boss Michael Ainsworth has been busting a gut getting us new exciting gigs so everythings go! feel like we've not actually stopped recently.

We've spent time recording a few tracks in Moolah Rouge studios with producer Seadna Mcphail which has been lots of fun, theres lots of different instruments to have a tinkle on including a grand piano which inspired a new song and gives us the chance to experiment with different sounds.

We've got a few tracks down now and we've got another day in the studio tomorrow which we're both really excited about, so-like i said i would- i'm keeping you up to date with everything thats going on...including biscuits (very important)

february update

Got lots on at the moment!

Been trying to structure plans for recording the album and done some rough guides and written a few tracks whilsts working six day weeks and working on new ideas for my illustrative work at the craft centre. Luckily for me a.k.a liz has been a great help in our unit by working extra days for me.
Michael at has been working hard to get us some great gigs over the next few months, i always pop them on my myspace here:

If anyone knows of any great fashion photography blogs give me a shout! it would be muchly appreciated.
Happy valentines Day (if i don't post anything from now till then...thought i'd pop queen of hearts up there as a trying-not-to-be too-cheesy link)

Some more new images,
I couldn't get to a scanner with some of these so they're a bit shadowy...hope you're all managing to get through the gloom of january...i've realised the positives though, you don't just see more people attempting to do the right thing and bring themselves a little wellbeing with a jog-everyones enjoying doing something new- fresh start- clean slate- s'quite nice. Anyway...if you'd like to see some of these new ink drawings face to face i've got some framed up in the studio so pop in and say hello.

I had a great time and always gain some sort of inspiration whilst i'm there...whether it be cocktails induced or not.

i wanted to have a nosey at some illustration whilst i was there and i came across this guys work Rene Gruau, i loved it...its rare that you get that feeling about things... :
